Ask for room at the Lake page of the hotel. Beautiful view of sunrise and sunset at the lake and many sailboats at the lake. Definitely book 2 night---Need ONE FULL DAY to visit the castle Herrenchiemsee Palace on an island and you can visit another island with tourist sites. You can book 3 nights and rent a sailboat to drive the lake or lie by the lake in the many BLUE deck chairs and get a TAN when you travel here in WARM weather. Very clean, modern, friendly hotel. English-speaking employees.

The location of the hotel is beautiful on the lake a little away from the relatively bussy city, I went for a coffin and a traditional cash cake in the garden of the hotel in front of the marina for a very peacfull and quiet afternoon, generally the atmosphere was pleasing in 7euros. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great local fresh fish. Attentive staff. Beautiful view.

We tasted great wines and ate among other dishes an excellent deer ham. There was nothing we disliked.

Brunch on the flower-filled terrace overlooking the lake was perfect. I'll always remember scooping sweet honey right out of the comb and slathering it on hot, fresh rolls.
