Bidra med feedbackOtta's is a little Fish and Chip shop along High Street that competes directly with several others in the Preston area. It is run by a friendly Asian couple. However, if an order is made by phone, the man sounds rather gruff.<br/ <br/ I have never tried their fish and chips, only their value specials. <br/ <br/ $8.50 nets you a Hamburger with the Lot and a small chips $1 if you take a 375ml can of soft drink). Containing a thick beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onions, a fried egg, cheese and tomato sauce, this burger is tasty to the very last bite. However, I found the meat to be somewhat bitter in some parts this is unusual), which threw me off. Coupled with the bag of chips, most people would be very full. The chips are crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, as well as seasoned with salt/chicken salt your choice when you order) Netting a solid meal for under $10 is very satisfying.<br/ <br/ However, my personal favourite from this shop is ironically) the vegetarian burger.<br/ Priced at $4.80, it contains everything from the Hamburger with the Lot minus the beef patty and cheese you still get the egg). The beef patty has been replaced with sliced pineapples instead. Pineapples on a vegetarian burger truly make a unique zing that I have never experienced anywhere else.<br/ <br/ Otta's burgers are one of my favourites in the Preston area. They are freshly prepared and of excellent quality. A great place to pick up lunch for under $10.
Love this place. Best fish and chips I've had in a long time after trying many in the local Preston area. Chips are amazing crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Our regular now.
This is my favourite fish and chip shop.<br/ Staff are always friendly and the food is always great! Out of the many times i have dined here only ever had a bad meal once!<br/ <br/ The fish is perfect. My grandparents even commented on how nice the flake is here compared to other places.<br/ <br/ I moved away from Preston so don't get to have my weekly serve from them any more but i always make the drive to Preston just to get some fish and chips once in a while from this great place.
When we moved to Preston, we wondered if we could find good fish and chips and we found them here. Their potato cakes are real old fashioned potato scallops. There's always an extra one as well. There fish is beautiful and sometimes we get the hamburgers which are amazing and really homemade.
The fish at this restaurant is delicious and authentic. I also enjoy their homemade potato cakes. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly. I am grateful to have this place so close to home. Cheers to Ottas!
