Marks Spencers - Preston

My mum loves coming to M&S.We go to the cafe first.Today as usual, there is a queue. 1 member of staff not enough. Poor girl is swamped with customers.Why is it difficult to get staff? Please- we love M&S however you must be prepared to meet the demand!!The store is packed full of lovely goods but customers want to sit and have a coffee too!! Please please more help with extra staff!! It isn't fair on existing staff.

Did a bit of shopping at Deepdale today so we decided to go to M&S for a light lunch and they had a nice choice on their menu. My wife had a fruit scone with jam and clotted cream, our daughter had a toasted tea cake with jam, our granddaughter had a kids meal deal and really enjoyed the ham sandwich, Percy pig biscuits and apple juice. I had a jacket potato with chilli con carne and a lovely side salad, we all enjoyed what we had and the staff were friendly and polite. Enjoy

Sandwich was well presented But Not sure what the fish was , but it wasn’t pleasant, strong tasted and worse than pollock Also salad leaves in the hot sandwich, don’t enhance the meal

Busy cafe had to queue lots of the tables hadnt been cleared or cleaned delay on food not the best M and S Cafe we have visited.

Came into the cafe with my dad mum who was in a wheelchair! found a seat, went to look for a menu couldn 't see one, so I asked a lady she said you need to look at the board then she walked off! So I looked on the menu went back to the table to let my mum know what 's on the menu. She decided what she wanted then I went to order, I waited in the que for approximately 10 minutes, when I finally place my order the assistant didnt seem to friendly or did she apologise for the wait! I waited for my drinks to made which the other assistant seemed to working rather slow, when my drinks was finally made I had to ask for a clean cup for the pot of tea, also i couldn 't see any clean tea spoons had to ask for the milk! Half the food came out in about 5 minutes after which we was surprised at the food taking less time than the service! Two teacakes was plonked down was told that theres a soup too! A few minutes later my soup arrived, again it was plonked on the table, we was told to enjoy! The soup itself was tasty but the tiny buns that came with it, didnt seem to appear to be the rolls that was described on the menuThe staff seemed to be stressed/disinterested with their work, apart from one assistant with blonde hair was lovely interacting with customers! Very disappointed with today 's experience
