Bidra med feedbackThe BB is always my family's and I's first choice for breakfast brunch. The food comes out hot and fresh and they have the best biggest homemade biscuits! You can never go wrong with the French toast platter served with two eggs your choice, meat your choice and breakfast potatoes. The staff is always kind and patient and I would really consider this to be a family kid friendly restaurant!
I was craving biscuits gravy this past week. I don't make them at home usually. Today I thought I will come to this establishment the name fit right? Coming alone I sat at the counter. Was greeted by Lizzie my server. She asked what I would like to drink, I asked it they had hot cider, no but told me they had a excellent hot cocoa or vanilla cappuccino, I asked for cocoa and was thrilled w the hot cocoa w whipped cream extra chocolate around it......oh so divine! I ordered half biscuits gravy with hash browns...food delivered less than five minutes except it was potatoes which was quickly rectified. Wonderful I ate with my only critique being that it is sausage gravy with only w couple specks of sausage it really requires more for the taste! That is why I gave 4 stars. The service was outstanding, Lizzie was exceptional, I had a to go order for my sick sister that was there quickly! Great customer service, all of the staff need to be applauded!! Sorry no pictures dang I was so hungry! Please add more sausage to the gravy!!! I will return here!
We used to go to this location and the one on Antioch in Overland Park and were pretty happy. But they have gone downhill over the last year. Today was the last time we 'll EVER dine here. I ordered eggs (2 regular and 1 egg white) and asked that they be soft scrambled together. (Don 't knock it until you 've tried it, it 's actually healthier and tastes better this way). Anyway, they brought 2 plates, one with regular scrambled (not soft scrambled) and one with egg white. I thought it was a mistake and sent them back and reminded them of how I ordered it. They came out with the same 2 types of eggs on 1 plate and said the kitchen cannot cook them together. I told the server that I didn 't want them that way and asked for the manager. When the manager came, they explained that they cook each type of egg at different stations and that they are so popular, they cook them in bulk. That is why they couldn 't make the eggs to order the way I ordered them. When I explained that they lost my business, the manager said, Well, I guess that 's how it goes then, with attitude and they were walking away. So, there you have it folks. They 're so called hand-cracked eggs are done in bulk as per the manager, so if you think you 're getting scrambled made to order here, think again. This manager clearly didn 't care about the customer experience. So, while my wife and I eat brunch every weekend, both days, NEVER again will we step foot in any The Big Biscuit restaurant.
I 've gone to various Big Biscuit locations in Kansas Missouri over the years my thoughts have varied. My overall experience has been 'they 're just ok will do in a pinch '. I must say my recent visit to the one on 95th in Overland Park has caused me to somewhat change my mind. I say somewhat because it 's getting there. The folks were pleasant engaged in compliments chit chat before I was seated. My waiter, Osman was an attentive young man with excellent people skills knew how to serve with gladness grace. His presence was like a ray of sunshine I could tell he has experience in the industry. He is also a trainer which didn 't surprise me. He even humbly accepted a few pointers I shared for him to pass along to his trainee this showed he has an ear to hear. At his age, priceless...My 3 egg scramble pancakes were delicious as was the hot chocolate. Simple, yet good. This was a rather refreshing visit that did me good on that particular day. One never knows how a pleasant attitude or kind word can affect someone 's day. This location Rocks! Hats off to Management a great team. Hopefully it will spill over to the other Big Biscuit restaurants around the city.
