Cafe Express - Powys

This restaurant offers exceptional value for money. We had two mains and drinks for just over £13.00. The food was delicious, with a huge, mouthwatering cheese and tomato on toast served with fresh salad and chips, as well as a generous portion of macaroni cheese accompanied by a juicy salad. The dishes came with complimentary sauces and spices. The restaurant was bustling with satisfied customers enjoying the simple yet beautiful garden cafe ambiance. We sat near the door and watched as happy customers left with smiles on their faces. It has been a while since I have felt such great value and service at a restaurant/cafe, especially since before the pandemic. We will definitely be returning on our next trip through this area.

We made a pit stop for coffee during a chilly bike ride. Unfortunately, we weren't impressed. The restaurant was spacious and crowded on a Saturday. It seems like their specialty might be fry ups and jacket potatoes, which many patrons were enjoying.

I called this restaurant last minute with a friend on our way back from Cardiff. The chip shop in Llandrindod Fountain was closed, so my friend suggested we come here. I have been here before, and this time we had two coffees and a cheese slice, which was nothing special. My friend ordered the steak and kidney pie, which looked better and was priced at 9 pounds. When I checked the bill at home, I noticed they charged an extra 50p for the steak and kidney. Not a big deal, but when I asked for ketchup for the pie, the woman behind the counter replied rudely. Despite this, I still recommend giving this place another chance, as the prices were reasonable and the food was decent. Some improvement in management and customer service would go a long way. Unfortunately, my friend and I will not be returning, so I do not recommend this restaurant.

The cafe is clean and tidy, but with the change of serviettes under table legs (to stop rocking) more often as they were mopped-around as many time they look like dish water. the staff could be more friendly and friendly. when placing a. order for a drink, turn to the machine, make the drink and put it in front of them, on them canteen tray, without grunting from hello' or thank you." I appreciate customer service in wales in notorious poor, but it's shameful, as there's nowhere else close to getting easily refreshed. when the staff sits together at a table chat, but don't knock or say something when a customer runs in. Maybe they should have a common room/lounge-out-of-sight? the eating is standard coffee style dug. prepare to be in the school canteen with creepy evening meal!

We visited this cafe in the month of August. The staff was very rude. They were even laughing on what we ordered. I wouldn’t recommend to any of my friends to visit this cafe...really disappointed.
