That Chicken Place - Powell River

Drove all the way over twice now and no lunch to be had. A total waste of my time. I dont shop at night and drive quite a way in to have lunch, this place is not open for lunch.

Located under the quirky Rodmay Hotel is this wonderful place. We ordered too much food because it all sounded great. Fried Chicken, Chicken Skins, and Pickle Juice Wings were all wonderful. Even the coleslaw which usually tastes like an afterthought in most places was good. We asked the server about the hotel and the restaurant owner came out to tell us about the ghosts and events centered around the hauntings. I'm sure recent times have not been kind to them and I really hope they succeed through these miserable COVID years because they deserve it. The owner is obviously passionate about her business and her food is great!

Amazingly cooked food, with great taste. Everything is made with a lil heart and soul

If you are in Powell River, definitely get take out from That Chicken Place . Order a bucket so you have leftovers. It 's just as good cold the next day!
