Mcduff's Tavern - Potsdam

My wife and I there when we were visiting Clarkson. It was the middle of the afternoon on Saturday and we were the only people there. Nice place with a large bar and it was clean which is always a pleasant surprise. Two bartenders on duty that were super pleasant to talk to. Told us a lot of good information about the town and the university. We didn't eat but had some drinks and they were nicely made and very reasonably priced. We really enjoyed the visit

Under new management cant get enough of McDuffs!!! The foods been amazing and just the atmosphere is a really great time! HIGHLY recommend stopping in and enjoying it!!!

The aroma of urine and bleach fills the air when you walk in. Good beer selection but definitely a college bar

Pleasantly surprised. We started with nachos. My family said they were awesome. Loaded with guacamole, sour cream, beans, tomatoes , and chicken and cheese. We also had a couple beers. I had a blue moon and my husband had a local brew that he really enjoyed. My daughter had a spicy chicken stuffed grilled cheese sandwich with an arugula salad. She was on cloud 9. My husband and son said their burgers were really good. (A little too well done but that happens sometimes. I had a roast beef au jus and they topped it with mushrooms. Really good. And the fries were great. Thick cut skin on and crispy. The waitstaff was really friendly. I would come here again the next time we visit my son at college.

We continue to go here and found that they had a new menu and a new chef. I always like the black bean burger so I was apprehensive about trying this new vegetarian burger. The new black bean burger is better than the old black bean burger which is hard to believe... It has a beet catchup that is out of this world. The Cobb salad still is the bomb and they still have great cold beers on tap. Good service too!
