Sweetly Anchored Patisserie - Potomac

This is my new bakery! Had a baby shower for my daughter in the law and ordered my custom cake from Sweetly Anchored. I asked about something inspired by the colors and theme of the invitation. When I picked up the cake, my jaw fell. Stunning! It could not have been visually perfect! Every guest has shaved about it. The little bear upstairs was an exact replica. A little too stupid, but glad we did. The cake was moist and the icing was rich, but not constipating. Both the chocolate and the vanilla layers were delicious. I also bought three quiches that were all wonderful, and a dozen cakes of pops. Everything was a hit, and I couldn't be happy anymore. The staff was incredibly helpful. Lindsey took my order and sent me an email with a sweet Oh Boy! topper that I may want to the cake, that came in the coloring and the font of the invitation. When I picked up everything, the young man behind the counter was helpful and friendly, the reheating instructions for the quiche on the box so that I would forget. He wore the cake for me in my car, put it carefully on the lap of my sister-in-law, and buckle it in so that she wouldn't josple the cake. He gave us instructions on how to hand it and unbox it when we came home. This cake made the party! Thank you. Sweetheart! You caught my loyalty, hooks, line and board!

In sweetly held horror on a whim while looking for a dessert to bring a Yom Kippur party. The staff was incredibly helpful and helped me find something that could fit the bill. I went with a dozen gourmet cupcakes from one of them. The designs were great (what I had made a better photo), and the crowd at the party loved them absolutely. I'll be right back if I need something sweet to impress my friends/family.

Lindsay and her team made my daughter's first birthday cake. We showed them a picture of what we wanted and the end product was better than the picture. They exceeded our expectations. It was such a work of art that we didn't want to cut the cake. Our guests shaved about how delicious their birthday cake was. At the end of the party there was no more cake. We also love stopping Sweetly Anchored every time we visit Cabin John. There is always something new to taste and the coffee is also delicious.

I just wanted to give a scream to the companies that go out to support the nurses and doctors on the front lines during this time. Wow! We feel supported and loved. This bakery is a true hidden gem. From the family friendly atmosphere to the delicious pastries, you’ll have a wonderful experience. I also highly recommend indulging in a rejuvenating matcha latte. The owner is truly passionate in all that she does.
