The staff was extremely friendly and helpful as they always have been the multiple times we ate there since I started university in 2019. The food, like the service, has been consistently great each time we went to the restaurant. The only discomfort is the warm inside seating during summer and spring, but it's nothing that should turn anyone away from eating here.
I and my friend came in for dinner on the 26th of September 2022 at about 1900hrs. I had made a call to make a reservation and was rudely told that only 6 people and above make reservations so I just need to walk in and will get a table. On arrival, we were friendly welcomed and sat on the outside. We were ignored for the next 25plus minutes and we asked the gentleman who sat us to get a waiter for us as we felt like we were lepers in a wrong place. Not that there were no waiters but they kept passing us without even batting an eye to us. Well at last a gentleman called Christiaan saved the day by giving us great service thus the 3 stars given. Food was great no complaints.
Definitely one of the best restaurants in Potch that caters for families with young children. Massive playing area at the back, jungle-gyms and slides of various sizes, enclosed trampoline, a jumping castle and a track to race one of the plastic motorbikes around, more than enough to keep the small ones occupied. A lot of seating as well for parents to sit outside and keep an eye on the kids. Inside there are also an indoor playing area that caters more for young toddlers with padded bars, floor and soft toys. Our breakfast coincided with a massive golf day buffet, so service was understandably a bit delayed. Very friendly service from our waiter, Renaldo
Food is always great. Atmosphere is always great. . The White waiters always seem to have an issue serving Black people . . **** poor serving from White guy with tattoos. Fake smile; passive aggressive behavior; insisted on speaking his precious Afrikaans even though we clearly couldn't get what he was communicating or asking us. Threw straws on the table. Maybe we were the wrong colour. . Poor guy, I am sorry that he had to serve people who are *beneath* him. He must have been traumatized.
Service was fair. Service was excellent. Lionel was very friendly, made sure we were comfortable and explained the specials of the day and all other queries we had. He, Lionel, is an asset to the restaurant.
