Lexie's Durham - Portsmouth

This review isn’t about the food. The food is always amazing hence why we come here all the time. But Coming here tonight was a little aggravating considering my order was late. The line was packed out the door. I wanted to take a quick moment and just applaud the two girls who were running around like crazy women making sure orders were brought as fast as possible. I do not envy them at all. Customers were getting upset but they were calm and professional. If you are the manger reading this they deserve a nice bonus for doing a great job tonight. Just a quick note if they are reading this... working now during this pandemic has showed me how entitled this country has become. I work in retail as well I know how it feels to have a customer upset and it’s not your fault. Keep your head up you’re doing great and have a merry Christmas!

Great selection of mouth-watering, specialty, craft burgers. Burgers are the best I’ve tried in this area. They even nailed the fries! Even though the quality is so high, the price is very low and affordable. I’ll be giving them much more business when they are settled in at another new location in Dover.

The food is great. We enjoyed The Farmhouse, Swiss Bratz, some wonderful Bistro Fries, and great shakes. The staff was attentive and friendly. The downside was that on a Saturday night it took 35 minutes to get the email confirmation after we ordered online using the Cake online ordering service, and another 40 minutes to get our food. The staff was running to bring out orders but the wait was likely a function of the lack of staff. Even after all that wait we still agreed that the wait was worth it given how much we enjoyed the food.

Lexie's Joint is really a best kept secret. Almost everything that they offer can be gluten free. They also have vegan options. I absolutely love their fries. So many different burgers. We loved sitting inside, but now that it's not an option, we order out and enjoy our food at a park. Delicious every time. We will be back again and again.

Lexie’s is exactly what I needed in a burger joint. While it’s a small place people come in and out so expect about a 10-20 minute wait during rush hours. I ordered the put a ring on it Burger (onion rings, BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, and a fried sunny side up egg). The burger was phenomenal, all of the flavors worked extremely well together. On the side, I ordered truffle fries. All was prepared well, the fries were a bit salty but I had no problem with it. I’ll happily come back next time I’m in the area!
