Olde Towne Public House - Portsmouth

Beautiful place to eat in the old town norfolk. the staff was friendly and the food was good. only the reason I didn't give 5 starts was the bier selection. I thought it was a bit more diverse than it was.

In total we liked the public house. we go back. reasons they get a 3 are below: I ordered a broken crabcake, steamed brokkoli carrots. the brokkoli kartoffels were on the spot! but the crab cake was not boiled, it was fried in a pan or a grid. it was very delicious and I found only about 8 pieces of crumb in it. it was very cold there with 3 or 4 high level ceiling fans. it made my eating cold before I was done. our waitress was very nice. helpful, but unobtrusive. it was also very loud. I had a difficult time to hear my family. I think next time I'll go to lunch for a warmer day.

The autumn was amazing. she was very attentive and happy. eating was amazing. the BBQ pizza was top notch. to finish it was just $9.99 for an 8”. definitely coming back.

Autumn j. is a wonderful server! she was attentive and sweet! she even noticed that I didn't use my limette on my drink so she didn't bring me with my next drink. I had the veggie pizza and it was so good that there was nothing left! if they are in portsmouth and have some time for pizza and a drink, they should definitely stop from olde towne public house and ask for fall, they will not be disappointed! they have a complete menu, except pizza, but that's what we had, so I can't testify how amazing everything else is on the menu.

I have currently been sitting here with 4 friends for one hour. We ordered simple food. As of right now, only one salad has shown up. The bar is not crowded at all as it opened not long ago. It's like they were surprised they had customers. The server is nice but not very attentive, although she is the only server working so I get it. However, what the hell is going on with service? Why does food take so long?
