Bidra med feedbackEverything we had was delicious! including grapefruit juice and tórrelas de choclo we will surely come back here.
I went here twice in one week. Beautiful and relaxing environment. Close to Portoviejo.
A popular place for Porto Viejo's middle class. I ordered a soup (caldo de hueso) and pescado empanado with rice and patacones. My wife and I shared a mondongo soup. The food was/is satisfying but this place can get busy. It's big, more than 100 seats. The wait staff have their hands full most of the time so be ready to wait a little for service. If you want to be seen and see who's here in P.V. Tomate is definitely a good place to go. P.s. If you want to take a pavita (siesta) they have hammocks somewhere around the back. Check them out if you're interested. It's sort of a custom in this part of Manabi at least.
Evert time you ask for something they didn't have it and it was about one
I had a Viche soup that is supposed to be a traditional Manabí dish.......it was cold, bland, and pricey, the plantain was half cooked, the weitress was very slow on taking the orders and not very helpful......... the place is not as good as it used to be.
