Bidra med feedbackWhilst out shopping we noticed that Kug was advertising a 2 course meal in its rooftop bar for €15 per person so we decided to give it a try. We were taken to the rooftop by a member of the team and to be fair I don’t think we would have found it without guidance. The advert was slightly misleading as we expected to be able to order 2 food items plus a drink from a limited menu but what we realised was that it was 1 drink plus the dish if the day which we did not have a choice over. The dish of the day was a white fish. Thankfully we all like fish. The portion size was slightly small but was ok for a light lunch. If you didn’t like fish or wanted a starter or a dessert then you would have paid quite a bit more. I felt that the €15 price tag was slightly overpriced for what you got compared to other venues we had eaten at. However there some decent views and you were not made to feel rushed (it may be different though if you can make a glass of wine last a while)
I had a good experience visiting this place with my friend recently . This place had very unique evening ambiance . At first, it was a little bit confused how to check the menu , as they don’t do paper menu , but you can access to it through QR code using your phone. We decided to go for Bacalhau as a main course . Waiter served us promptly. We were very surprised with Sangria too, very fruity and delicious. Overall, it will be nice to visit this place again.
After four years living in Porto, I can state this is one of the worsts restaurants over here. The place is nice, and that's it. The food is expensive for what it offers (don’t order the Steak Tartare is everything less than a Tartare), but definitely, the worst part is the service. Waiters seems don’t care. You have to beg to receive something you ordered. We were there with kids and even so, the order took more than an hour to arrive (and after a big insistence). I’ll never go back again, and I strongly recommend you try something different. There are many options cheaper and much better than Kug nearby.
