O Gorman - Portlaoise

Great food and service I have complained in the past but if this is the new standard then count me in well done to whoever is setting the new standard

Was there today found the girls really friendly but very slow. Ordered our deinks I asked for a coke but sent it back as it was very flat. We then ordered our food and took over 45mins for the food to come out. Even after other people came in after us and got there food before us had to ask girls to check if food was ready anytime soon as I had friends down visiting and time was of the essence. I orded the beef roast was nothing special there was not much on the plate had to ask for roast patatoes and extra gravey to add flavour. As it took so long for food to come we didn't have enough time to go anywhere else. So we decided to just have desert there it took over 35 mins for that to come out again we had to ask staff to check and see if its ready. The food had obviously been waiting a while in the kitchen as I orderd the sticky toffee pudding with ice-cream. The pudding had gone cold and the ice cream had melted. When leaving we made our way to the till where there was 3 members of staff standing chatting completely ignoring the fact we were waiting to pay again we had to ask staff if we could pay. Was not very impressed would recommend many other Pub food restaurants in the Area.

Lovely meal from an extensive menu. Had a starter and main course here and the food was top dollar. Had ribs and roast duck. looking and listening to other diners positive comments I will be back...

My wife, son and I visited O Gorman's last Sunday (20th August) and are we glad we did. Upon arrival the pub/restaurant was busy but we quickly got a seat, we had two adult meals, and one child meal followed by three deserts and two cups of coffee. The bill came to €44 which is an average cost for a carvery meal, however the food was magnificent. Piping hot, tasty and decent portion sizes. The toilets were clean. The staff while not friendly were efficient. It was a very pleasant visit and we would definitely recommend this establishment for food. We will be back.

Myself my 2 daughters and my mum had dinner here yesterday cudnt recommend the place highly enough..dinner was amazing presentation second to none staff extremely polite friendly n helpful deserts were out of this world even kids deserts were top class and again presentation 10 out of 10 fab place we wil defo be back
