Bidra med feedbackThis place is super cute and has very yummy vegan options. I got the harvest bowl with tofu and it was delicious. The sauce added a really nice tangy flavor. I’ll definitely come back again!
The place is really cute, romantic and homey at the same time. Great fabrics, color and design. The owners did a fantastic job making everyone feel welcome and the service was fast and friendly. The food was really delicious and they have strong cocktails. There were at least two vegan dishes on the menu, include a tofu dish, which is what I got. It feels like a lot of high-end date restaurants in town have vegan dish without any protien, just pasta or something with an absence of meat or dairy. It was nice that the owner/chef actually made a vegan dish that had protien and veggies.
Ruby 's is a neighborhood gem and their food is delicious. The owners (wife husband team are so friendly and welcoming this is one of those places you 're not afraid to ask about dish modifications because the answer is usually absolutely, let 's do that for you! instead of I 'll have to assssssk. I 've been in for coffee and pastries (they have a blueberry coffee cake muffin which is amazingggg, also they make their own egg wash free bagels! as well as wine night/special events (vegan tasting menu . The daily veg options are limited but they are sooo good, especially the mushroom toast thing (just ask that they don 't butter the toast! and the beet salad. Sometimes they have specials so it 's a good idea to follow them on Instagram and you can also ask them questions (via DM like do you have any muffins left? and they will answer! Love this place!! PS They also have social events like paint n sip, book club, 1/2 price wine night, and other fun things they keep coming up with! Maybe we can petition for a vegan night? :
I cannot say enough good things about Ruby’s.I have to start with the food. Wow. It never disappoints. I have to force myself to order anything but my favorite (harvest bowl… wow. Feels like a new experience every time it’s so vibrantly seasoned!!! because the menu is so varied and inclusive (gf/vegan/veg . They were even kind enough to veganize their chicken and waffles for me! And the baked goods!!! Just make sure your belt has the notches to support this experience. The local variety cannot be beat. Now the staff. The owner came round and chatted to us, plugging us into some local events we (as new portlanders would love. They took their time and really made me feel welcomed and included in this community. And their other staff are so pleasant and wonderful. Dave is so nice. It’s more than a dining experience here. It’s a community event.I also love grabbing a cup of coffee to relax with or to go. Their business model supports their staff with fair wages and they invest back into the community with their finances and events. Supporting Ruby’s truly is supporting the ME community.Good food. Kind, wonderful staff, and the food is so dynamic and flavorful. You HAVE to come to Ruby’s if you’re visiting portland. You just have to.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free options were abundant and delicious!
We were there for breakfast. The menu is eclectic but they will make anything you want. Service was friendly and good. They have nice baked goods. All three of us enjoyed our breakfast.
