Bidra med feedbackUp front: I'm not from Portland, but I am extremely familiar with the sushi omakase scene in Seattle. This tasted familiar! We had a great time. I typically go for nigiri and chef's choice cuts, but the options for typical ready-to-serve rolls were delicious. We were treated well and even though we didn't sit at the bar they had a fantastic toro selection alongside some classic market selections. What I presume to be the owner came out and talked with us and it was very humbling! It is very scenically located next to a park and the neighborhood seemed so nice. We would definitely come back for another visit. Only giving it 4 stars because I feel like I'm cheating on our favorite sushi chef haha.
We were on vacation. The restaurant was nice and clean. The server was delightful. The street didn't smell of urine like some downtown spots so that was a definite plus. The food most importantly was delicious. I don't remember the names of the rolls we ate, but everything was so great! Highly recommend and would go back if in the area.Parking: We went on a Monday night after 5. Plenty of parking on the street.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps to go inside plus they have outside seating.
Yama Sushi is one of my favorite sushi places in the city. It is usually more expensive than other places, however, the quality of the fish is worth the higher price tag. My favorite roll was the Sake Bomb located on their specialty menu. Be sure to try some of the ones on there, you won't be disappointed.Food: 5/5
I don’t think I’ve ever written a bad review but the lunch I had here was so disappointing. I come here almost 3x a week but the waitress was so rude to me today. I didn’t get checked on once and tried to go inside to see if I could get more ginger and they told me no, that someone would be with me outside. A homeless woman wouldn’t stop asking me for money for about 5 minutes and I asked her to leave me alone, finally tried to waive the waitress over and she refused to come to my table to help. It’s normally a great spot to eat but I’ll never be back after today.
The sushi was absolutely divine! The tuna was like butter! The Mardi Gras roll was such a treat with gorgeous flavors. And to end it off the sushi chef surprised my daughter with an adorable orange dragon. An all around fantastic lunch!Food: 5/5
