The restaurant is huge, new and empty when I ate. my server was excellent and happy to talk about the menu, they seem proud of the local items. the prices were a bit high, but the food was tastefully presented. the facility was tidy and spacious, but felt a little like I was still in the lobby. the bar is literally in the lobby. it is a good option if you stay in the hotel, but it is not cozy or relaxed when you eat alone or take something out.
Good service! eating was good, the only thing that keeps me from giving him five was the Carolina Barbecue pork and the lawn Slave I had. sauce for the pulled pork was st. luis style, and there was not enough mayo in the swallow to really make the aromen mix together. expected full carolina grill taste but not this experience. baked mac and cheese were the saving gnade, it made for everything else. overall, good eating, can taste quality, and excellent service, but will be something next to what I had when I come back.
First had the good. my wife and I both had some mixed cocktails at the bar before and after dinner. the bartenders were great and the drinks were perfectly made. the waiter we got in the restaurant was also friendly and helpful. that's not so good. eating was very salty. all except the salate and the salate was tiny. we have the st. louis ribs, brisket and wok veggies. we couldn't finish them. we also sat at a table right next to the recipe. there was a small part between us and them, but there were a few times someone went from the reception to the restaurant right behind my wife. this was the first week that the hotel was opened so it was not busy at all. I'm sure they're working out all this in the coming weeks, but at the moment it's not worth it.
Small portions. eating and service were good, eating was delicious. we had an salate, Korean fried chicken sandwich, brisket and asparagus. if they raised their portions, they could quickly become a stack on our lists, instead of being viewed as a hotel restaurant to protect their margins.
