Bidra med feedbackAlways great for takeout food and very responsive to request for changes. Very prompt when I called in 3 items they assured me 10 minutes and it was ready when I got there 15 minutes later. Adding Gold Garden Portland to go menu photos, since they haven't published one that I can find.
One of our favorite places in Portland for Dim Sum. My family lives in Salem, but every year after our 'traditional ' Turkey Dinner, we head to Portland on Thanksgiving weekend and enjoy Dim Sum with family. As a 3rd generation Chinese American, my kids don 't eat a lot of traditional Chinese food, but at Golden Garden we treat them to yummy Siu Mai (pork dumplings, Har Gau (steamed prawn dumplings, Cheong fan (rice noodles, and Char siu bao (bbg pork buns!
We 're from LA, so I 'm sorry(? and also this is thus far the best Chinese restaurant we 've been to in Portland in the 8 years we 've lived here. We settled on thinking we just won 't experience the same dining for Chinese food in this city. Soo la voo. We 've been to all the spots you 're thinking of and nope, Gold Garden was better tonight. Even my Chinese/Filipina mother said this is better than [that spot you 're thinking of]. Sooo flavorful, huge portions, and such friendly service, even understanding our 7mo and 6.8yo had needs to address too. If you 're also used to and wondering about restaurant 'health ' grades in Portland, this spot received 100/A+ with its last inspection. These portions are family style and the menu with dining experience is just like spots we grew up going to, down to the soda can with straw. We ordered: deep fried crab Hong Kong style with garlic (omg delicious! , enoki mushroom and tofu, Chinese broccoli, salt and pepper shrimp and squid, soup dumplings, fish maw soup, and duck with pineapple (not our fav . Yes, we had a ton of leftovers for the coming days you know Asian mamas. Parking: Behind the building are some spots, and there is one handicap on the side, otherwise street parking is available.
Another local mom and pop spot located in the Eastside. The interior is spacious and the people working were friendly. They have some lunch specials that you can get, which is of good portion. I ordered the Szechuan Beef over fried rice. The dish was very flavorful. I added a cup of egg flower, which was also good.
I’ve tried to order a few times by phone and it goes straight to voicemail. I try to order from their menu online off of maps and no answer. I gave up. It looks empty every time I walk by on my way home so I stopped
