Farina Bakery - Portland

I read all the reviews before my visit, and i tried 5 items from the menus. Not perfection but i love their attention to detail and the atmosphere is terrific too. The marionberry pop tart was my second try. Very different than i expected, the pastry is dense like a pie crust, and very good. while i was told it was made today? it didn’t have the freshness i’d expect. not old, but doesn’t pop, and the frosting was made to harden but it had unappetizing cracks in it, and the filling is very limited. the cream puff? beautiful. absolutely fresh, great tasting pastry, and the custard was divine. but they smothered it with way too much whipped cream that didn’t taste as fresh- i ended up scooping that off so i could enjoy the custard and puff. it’s wonderful to find a bakery striving for excellence, i really appreciate it.

I had the pleasure of stopping by this afternoon with my daughter. OMG. It is sooo delicious. We had the pop tarts, macarons, cookies and a chickpea sweet potato hand pie and it was all out of this world. The pastry is perfectly flaky. I can't wait to go back.

I have been buying their chickpea hand pie and marionberry pop tart at my local coffee shop for quite some time. Decided to go to their bakery and grab some more items. Not a single one of them disappointed. Everything is flavorful and perfectly baked. I particularly enjoyed the everything bagel galette, macarons, and pesto pop tart. I also love that they participate in reducing food waste by selling their goods discounted on the good to go app.

Darling and delicious. Really impressive bakery. The cake was beautiful AND delicious so were cookies and pastries.
