Bread And Ink Café - Portland

We were visiting from out of town and were looking for a place for dinner nearby. We went to Bread and Ink based on the menu and reviews we read. The service was great and we really enjoyed the food. I had the smoked pork tenderloin and it was fantastic! My date had a grilled shrimp and pasta dish that was equally good. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and eveningI

We were a large group, including children, and couldn’t have been happier with the evening. Everyone ordered off the menu, so we got a good picture of their variety. Service throughout was attentive and well paced. I know most people think of B&I as a breakfast spot, but that sells it short. The dinner selection is a terrific value on the combination of excellent food and menu variety, price, etc. I wonder why they aren’t packed every evening.

Excellent pancakes and fresh squeezed orange juice made the breakfast just that much better
