Bidra med feedbackSpotted them at the Fremont Farmers Market and decided I had to try it. They didn't disappoint! If you see them at an event, make sure to grab a bite.
We had Paella House for our catering at our wedding, and boy was that a huge hit!! Not only was the food DELICIOUS timed PERFECTLY. But, it was entertainment for all the guest as well. People were able to watch them create the beautiful mosaic of food they started drooling over the smells well before the food was served. Thank you for adding a special/memorable piece to our wedding!
I tried the Paella del Mar from their food truck at the Fremont Sunday Market. Visually, the paella cooking in their big woks looks stunning from afar. I decided to purchase one serving for $14.33. They have seating for four at the truck so I ate the food right there. I was quite disappointed for two reasons. The portion is less than what would be considered typical of appetizers. I would probably need to purchase three servings in order to get full from their food. In addition, their seafood did not taste fresh. The mussels tasted dried out and the shrimp had no flavor and was rubbery . The only thing that they had going was the flavor of the rice, which was decent. However, with such prices for average tasting food, and way below average sizing, I would not go back again.
What a gift to my wedding Paella House was! We needed to feed 30 people, accomodate a range food allergies, impress our out of town guests as well as manage the complexities of Covid protocol. Paella House exceeded our expectations in all of these. Alejandro was responsive and professional in planning the catering during the weeks before. On the day of our wedding, he and his team arrived with plenty of time to cook the food on site, filling the air with mouth watering aromas. When our program was running 30 minutes behind, they were gracious and patient with us. And when at last my groom and I were ready to eat, ravenous and fatigued from the intensity of the day, we were rewarded with rich, savory, complex, fresh and delicious flavors. We were overjoyed with every bite! This business is run by an ethical, caring, creative, hard working and incredibly dedicated family. They source local and clean ingredients to create dishes that showcase the rich flavors of Spain right here on the Olympic Peninsula, what a find! Their professionalism combined with the exquisite and unique tastes of the dishes infused our day with an elegance for which I will always be grateful. Thank you Alejandro for making my wedding a phenomenal success! If you are looking for caterers for your event or just a delicious meal cooked by loving hands, I highly recommend Paella House.
If you ever see these guys at a street fair in the city, do yourself a favor and give them a try. Had some while they were at the U District street fair a while back as my first time ever trying paella and can't imagine having a better first experience. Not cheap or a huge portion but worth every penny.Probably the most delicious use of saffron in a dish I've ever experienced, and although it was a little pricy for the serving size, it was worth every penny. Not usually a huge fan of mussels, but whatever magic they worked within their huge vat of broth turned them into something I couldn't get enough of. Thank you Paella House for opening my eyes to the potential of this beautiful dish. :
