Mélange - Port of Spain

The best ever eat! always a great experience and excellent customer service. polenta. lamb, steak. desserts. everything is amazing. I'm always happy to eat here!

I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance, 21/11/18, 10:32am. I showed up on time for my reservation at 6:30pm. The lights were on, door was locked, no one at the receptionist’s desk. A few moments later I saw a man hustling towards the door, a puzzled look on his face. We greeted each other, I gave him my name and informed him that I was here for my 6:30pm reservation. He was apparently still puzzled and asked if my reservation was for that night. I said it was, booked 2 weeks ago. I was ushered inside passed a large table with a group of women already seated. I took my seat and waited. A few moments later the same gentleman, with the same puzzled look on his face, returned and informed me that he “checked the book” and couldn't find any reservation in my name. I even went through my call log and found the date at time I called to make the reservation. Unapologetically, he refused to comment on that but made it clear that “these ladies” had booked the entire restaurant for a group. I had no choice but to leave. A simple phone call informing me that my few cents had been bumped in favour of a more lucrative business arrangement would have hurt a lot less. Congratulations Mélange, your name may be “French” but your service is just disrespectful.

The dining experience was fantastic. Our server, Mario, was wonderful and provided excellent service. He did a great job explaining the dishes and wine selection. I must say, if it weren't for Melange, I would miss you!

One of the best places I've ever been to, with outstanding customer service. The host and staff were friendly, informative, and professional, making me feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, and the entire experience at Melange was simply perfect! You must try this restaurant!

The dining experience was truly fantastic, with very professional and attentive staff. It was a bit pricey, but we like to think it was worth it. The molten chocolate cake with mango ice cream was an absolute highlight!
