Swept Away Inn - Port Alberni

It is 2017 and there are no non-dairy alternatives for coffee? None? I waited in line for over 10 minutes, finally reached the front, and was greeted with a lackluster "uh hi".

This restaurant on a boat is wonderful. We went with 11 people for a family style dinner. The cook was amazing . It was a 31/2 hour dinner evening in a beautiful setting in the harbour quay Port Alberni.

The first day at the B&B we had a Moroccan-style quiche - fabulous & fresh. The 2nd morning I had a great breakfast of wild-caught smoked salmon, eggs with cheese and capers. Yum!!

The rooms are no bigger than a deluxe bedroom in an Amtrak sleeping car, but the ambience is great, and the owner/hosts are a lot of fun. Have already told friends that this is a "must do"--especially if you are arriving/departing by seaplane. The dock...More
