Bidra med feedbackThis charming cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating, located next to a children's park, splash pool, and small beach. It is just a 15-minute walk into Poole, with affordable onsite parking. The menu includes breakfast, lunch, and small bites, although we only tried the breakfast. The coffee was excellent, the service friendly, and the cakes were delicious and generously portioned (the carrot cake is a must-try). We opted for the full breakfast bap, which was tasty but slightly pricey at £7 for one average quality sausage, a piece of bacon, an egg, and a hash brown. Despite this, we would consider returning for a full English breakfast.
Today, I brought my mom to this restaurant for lunch for the first time. Despite being busy, we were able to find a table inside. When I went to order our lunch, I found the prices to be a bit high for Hamworthy. The server mentioned that they were no longer serving food because the cook in the kitchen was feeling overwhelmed. It seems like they should have hired more staff. My mom and I left feeling disappointed, so I would not recommend visiting this restaurant. There are other, more affordable and pleasant dining options available on Poole Quay.
Lovely little cafe, reasonable prices, was raining but still got to sit outside a cover canope over outside tables, staff were very friendly and dogs were very welcome
Shambles of a cafe. We visited just for chips but waited half an hour before being told our ‘ticket had been lost’ 5 minutes later the chips come out. We had ketchup and mayonnaise squirted from a dodgy looking container. Needless to say both of my children have been I’ll in the night and that’s the only thing they had to eat in common. Hygiene appalling and service not much better. Wont be returning.
But over the last year have seen a sharp drop off. The staff are delightful and do the best they can, but the owner should be ashamed of how this place now functions. The recent refurb is a total disaster in terms of layout.... Apparantly he designed it. I can't count the number of times I've seen customers complain in terms of service and food. I remember a few months ago a couple sent back a cheese and onion sandwich which they found inedible and cost £5, it's not rocket science. I repeat the staff are lovely but have not been supported at all by the owner. Looks like making money is the priority now and so the food is base quality and staff are run ragged. Such a shame.
