Bidra med feedbackOmakase by the sea! Interesting little spot located inside the Marriott Residence Inn. The sushi bar has about 8 seats and is located indoors but looks right out to the ocean. I recommend getting there during daylight if you want the view. There is a limited menu besides the omakase... some sushi and other American items. For omakase, you need to reserve in advance with a credit card. You can choose from the $50 12 course or $100 17 course option. Each course is a piece of nigiri. The seatings are strictly one hour. Our reservation was for 8pm and we were running just a few minutes late. At 8pm the phone rings asking us where we were. When we answered that we were literally three minutes away we were told they would start plating . Two chefs prepared the meal for us and four others. The nigiri came out at a steady pace and at 8:50pm we were told our last course was coming and since they were getting ready for another seating, if we wanted to order more, we could move to a table. Yes, I did feel rushed. The meal itself? High quality sushi prepared well. I found most of the nigiri to be fairly basic, without many surprises. I have been to several omakase meals now and I find those with just nigiri to be a little boring. Would be much nicer if they threw in a couple of dishes without rice and dessert!!!! I guess the price point is not bad for what you get. Would definitely recommend for a tourist who wants to experience omakase on the beach. If you live here and do not care about the view, there might be better omakase options.
Wagyu Beef with Black Truffle shavings. This was one of the courses of the Omakase menu at the Sushi by Bou. So worth it to enjoy!!!! Chef's Thomas and Brandon are masters at their craft behind the Sushi bar, very down to earth as well. Chris the GM is on point with his staff, very hands on. Server Sasha was a sweetheart and very helpful as well, with us having to move inside abruptly due to the rain. Bartender Renee makes a mean cocktail! They validate parking which saves some money there. It is tucked away in the rear of the Residence Inn by Marriott so be on the lookout. I hope this helps some of you out there, like I said before so worth going.
Wonderful service. Sushi was super fresh and delicious. Christie (our server) was incredible. Highly recommend for a nice evening out. Go when it's light out, Sunset time to enjoy/appreciate the view.
Sushi was pretty good! We had the tuna, shrimp tempura, and a bougie roll. The service was also fantastic the waitress and bartender were great people and gave us great suggestions of things to do and see. Love the views and being by the beach!
This is a beautiful little cafe with excellent service. To be honest, the food from the kitchen was way better than the sushi. The blackened grouper sandwich was delicious, as was the Korean hot dog. The sweet potato fries were maybe the best we ever had. The sushi we ordered, including the surf and turf roll, were overpriced, lifeless and bland. It made us sorry we ordered it at all. Stick with the kitchen menu and you will enjoy this place much more.
