Amazing range of raw seafood. Langoustine in particular were absolutely incredible. Great wine choice. Worth the trip! It'd basically all raw though so be careful! My girlfriend freaked when the cockles foot was still moving!
We stopped for lunch on a cycling tour of Puglia and we were delighted by the the quality of the food. It’s more a hole in the wall fish counter that you select your produce from. We don’t speak Italian however felt welcomed and with friendly smiles and pointing easily placed an order. The fish monger then serves this to you raw on a platter of ice to with a slice of lemon. We opted to accompany this with a cold crisp white wine and sat outside (there are a few plastic table and chairs. A delightful experience and well worth booking into your itinerary.
We ate superlatively. carpacci, tartara and many shrimps and scampi that were a delight. accompanied by a perfect prosecco and a delicious focaccia. We came to poligon on purpose. It was worth it! we spent in three little less than one hundred euros, but we made the bis of scampi and tartara of tuna
What do you mean? top aperitif! all of excellent quality. you enter the fish shop and you choose the molluscs and the fish you want to consume. place it on a boat with ice or a ceramic bowl. need hot focaccia to accompany the aperitif. we opted for red shrimp, white nuts, hairy mussels and tuna tartare. among the various options were also oysters, crude octopus, salmon (tartare or not mounted,) cuttlefish or squid. with two bottles of natural water we spent 35 euros. super honest price/quality ratio.
