Wonderful place. Excellent experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The service was ok but the food lacked flavour. The portion sizes are tiny for share plates and considering the price. The menu is different to the one on the website. We had the mushrooms, chats, lamb and Wagyu beef. Two mushrooms for $18 is a bit steep but they were the best tasting dish. The chats were pretty standard like you would expect anywhere. The lamb was ok but lacked sauce and condiments and the serving size was about two mouthfuls on the hole plate. The steak definitely wasn’t Wagyu as stated in the menu. It had no marbling at all, no sauce, lack seasoning and only had a couple of greens on the side. I have been to many “fine dining” restaurants in the Valley and this is no where near the standard of others around. We won’t be back. I was surprised we were able to get a reservation at short notice on a Friday night but I understood why after we left.
Delicious food, however very small portions for ‘share plate’ and price! Cocktails were not well made and service very slow considering minimal patrons in restaurant. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $60–80
Adam guided our group of 3 through the wine list either side of our lunch booking at Ridgeview restaurant. The wines were great, but the real stand out was Adam who made our experience one of the best we've ever had a cellar door. Highly recommend a visit even if Ridgeview is off the beaten path of the main stretch of hunter wineries.
