The food was good, but that was about it. We were sat in a cold, drafty room at the front, our neighbour being an empty table on which a plastic bucket was collecting water dripping from the ceiling. An empty bar stood nearby, while two waiters would visit occasionally, as mostly busy to look after the by the look of things roomier and nicer space across a small courtyard. We were made to wait more than 1 hour between the starter and the main course, at which point our appetite was all gone. A dreary experience.

Exceptional food, nice ambience, staff very pleasant and helpful when you explain the menu in English. Excellent selection of different wines from the region highly recommended for a first class restaurant in Poitiers
