The orders are now taken at the bar, and the restaurant has lost some of its luster.
The restaurant offered a stunning view of the ocean and the food was delicious.
To be fair, the food could be good, but we didn't find out because we went before the order. Our reservation was based on the previous great experience of my husband here a few years ago, and the menu looked fantastic. When we showed up, there was no hostess, just a big sign to say to pick up an open seat in or out and place your order at the bar. So it was not the culinary experience we hoped for on the 5th anniversary. But we found a place outside through the water (the terrace is huge and beautiful. I wish we could have enjoyed it. The menu on the table was only the small menu of the adjacent clambar, which consists of 90% deep roasted food and sandwiches. My husband went in to ask if we could have menus for the main restaurant, and was said to serve only the Shellbar menu. While we both enjoy fried apps and sandwiches, this is not what we come for and definitely not what we wanted for our anniversary dinner.
I made a reservation with open table for 16th anniversary dinner and was greeted by no table service walk up window food plastic silverware and plates and self-service I feel that this should’ve been relayed to me prior to arrival Fishermans catch maître d’Told me they let open table know three weeks prior they were not excepting reservations I am very disappointed
