Bidra med feedbackI don’t know, how we ended up here… We drove a lot, the other side of the river we found some restaurants but didn’t convinced us and in this area it was more desolated after driving into closed hotel-restaurants when finally we found this trattoria… Lunch was being served at their outdoor terrace so we sat there too and it was quite full. We had a pesto testaroli (8,00) which is a kind of pancake pasta, very soft; a minestrone (8,00) which was good but a bit salty; stockfish with leeks (14,00) and coppette (10,00) which were shoulders of the cinta senese (Tuscan breed pig) were tasty and soft… sides were charged separately, roasted potatoes (4,00) and to end flourishly we had a just baked mille-feuille (3,50) which was fab. Food was averagely OK with a plus, there were flies around (outdoors); rustic and basic neighborhood restaurant that serves homemade dishes with a decent service; seems that this is a historical inn because dates from 1922; one thing that caused me some distress was the parking place, not a space problem but the electric pole is right there and it was voltagely noisy.
A warm and friendly family run Trattoria. Food was excellent and so was the house wine. The thing that kept us coming back was the friendly service. We stayed locally for a week and dined here on three occasions. By the end of the week I almost felt like family and this was in spite of the fact that my husband and I are from Australia and can only speak a few words in Italian.
Nice place and typical to eat. Very nice people too (Lucinda, Norma,etc... . The food is very good and taste very fresh too. The price is too high for this Trattoria.
