La Roux Cafe - Plymouth

What an amazing hidden gem. A superb little bar where you will always be sure of a warm welcome and a cold cocktail. Kevin (the owner) is a brilliant host and loves to chat away with his guests. All the cocktails are made from scratch- no pre mixers here thank you. If cocktails aren’t your thing they also serve teas and coffees and a pretty good bacon sandwich. Also have a fantastic little sun trap outside, great for the summer- if it appears. So head on down to Portico- I’m confident to say you won’t be disappointed. We certainly weren’t and will definitely be visiting there many more times.

Fabulous cocktails made from scratch rather than the usual premixed ! Kevin our server was very jovial and friendly and made our visit a pleasure coupled with the superb drinks !!!!! Thank you !

Things have changed here. The new owners/management have renamed the place Portico which will also be a cafe and bar but they have said that they are ditching the previous French theme and concentrating on a wide range of specialist cocktails. We called in today but apart from the new signage the front has fence and boarding so the gap in opening may have a short while to run.

Came in for coffee and bacon sandwich deal . Superb coffee served really hot Jamie gleefully Tod us that they were voted in top ten coffee houses in Plymouth !! Well deserved !!!
