Bidra med feedbackShould have known the call before he came to visit when he asked if there was a waiting time and I could laugh at the other end of the phone. The place was dead, and for good reason. I love visiting small non-chain restaurants, but that was no good choice at all, and very expensive for terrible foods. Ribs were cold, the pulled pig had a very strange smell and taste. The Mac and the cheese were worse than Stouffer. $50 for 2 dinners and it was simply set, rough. The food sits in canned tablets, for which knows how long, but nothing of it seemed fresh or appetizing. Extremely disappointed.
The service was great, they were very friendly and hospitable. However, this review concerns the quality of food. I ordered the Mac and the cheese and the cattle breeze, the M
This place is much better than any of the BBQ chain places out there. Everything's fresh. Ribs were great, although a little gland so sauce is a must. Also got the brisket that I did not particularly enjoy super fat and it did not have a whole lot of taste. Portions are massive and correspondingly expensive.
Excellent ribs! They serve them simply, but have a good BBQ sauce and a lot of hot sauce to adjust your heat. Surprisingly good is delicious baked beans, cheesey potatoes and the creamed corn casserole.
Now each experience may differ depending on what you order. Today I ordered the full rack of ribs with a side of mac n cheese, to go. I was pleased with the amount of food I received for $28. If you eat ribs as much as I do, you 'll know this is a fair price. The ribs were tender with a nice smoke flavor. The mac n cheese didn 't wow me away, but I didn 't come here for that. Overall this is a solid BBQ joint which is worth checking out. It beats the modern day tin tray joints and chain restaurants.
