Cote Lac - Ploërmel

The Côte Lac is a very nice place to eat, but is very busy, especially at noon. Consequently, the service could be a little slow. Overall an excellent place to eat. The menus are considerable and varied and the evening menu is excellent. Come there...before lunch!

This restaurant, located in a strip shopping center, tries to be an upscale food, but from my experience with food, and prices, it falls short. We ordered a Nicoise salad and a Cesar salad with chicken. The salads were brought to the table and the waitress went and then returned some moments later after they realized that they had forgotten the chicken. The salads offered a beautiful presentation in a thin crepe formed in a bowl; but the attempt to eat salad proved to be difficult as the range of greens was long and stringy. Because the salads were in this type of pastry bowl, the cutting of the green was not easy. Service was average and the restaurant had a nice modern feeling, but overall this restaurant was a disappointment.

Very good food and good value for money. Always busy at noon, this is a good sign! Menu du Jour is always great.

We had a table outside as it was a really nice day, it was nice and shaded and even though we were busy getting a table. We chose the form with 14pp three courses. For appetizers we had the Moules Mrainier re, they were... pious, we had to ask the waiter on bread, even though they had forgotten! You have to raise the juice. For the net my friend had the calves with the most delicious potatoes and I had the chicken tajine that was delicious, but I don't like Couscous so sworn for my friends mash! For dessert we were offered a piece of cake or mousse that were both delicious, but other diners were offered bowls of cherries that we preferred. I gave him four stars for bread and cherries.
