Bidra med feedbackThis is a hidden gem as its hard to see the sign and doesn't look inviting. But the food is cooked to order and very good. And very inexpensive. We eat there at least once a week since moving to the area. We recommend the huevos ranchero, breaded fish, Ranchero shrimp, beef enchiladas and the flan is great too! The only downside is no alcohol is served. But the espresso is very good. This small family owned restaurant is worth a try.
Inexpensive, nice out door dining and well behaved dogs accepted on the patio. Across from Los Gaviotas
We were staying at Las Gaviotas and went across the street to this little place along the road. Right along the free road, so sometimes loud with trucks. The food was great and freshly made. We had breakfast. We had the Huevos Rancheros, Huevos Mexicana and a kids breakfast. All was good! The bill was very reasonable in the end, around $14 for all of that and coffee.... We'll definitely be back to Gaviotas and definitely be back to El Portal. We'll try lunch. They are open from 8 to 5:30...not sure if those hours are daily...
Great breakfasts. Across the free road from the ocean, at about 42 km roadmark. No ocean view, but lovely patio, and thoughtful service
A lot of our friends recommended this small, clean, and delicious dining room. They are famous here for a great breakfast. We had lunch with a chicken burrito and steak burrito. It was HUGE and we had to take them home for a second meal. The homemade salsa was fantastic. And yes, the burritos were great. Give this place a try and you won't be sorry. Total cost for lunch: $9. PS- There is no bar but I think they wouldn't mind if you brought your own bottle! If you thought this review was helpful, please let trip advisor know.
