Bidra med feedbackAll tacos are freshly prepared and delicious. taste the tripas! they always know a great place when it is filled with locals. no beer, so be discreet.
Best tacos and great variety just don't order asada. asada are bland, but everything else tasty. intentionally with salsas spicy, but also have good taste, they can not eat tacos without salsa. yes. it is very hot in there, sometimes I just go. and eat in the park above the road. two doors down is an ice business that really have good agua frescas. tacos go even better with an agua, I get limon con chia . and churros are very good in the park and they are a must to finish meal. and please don't forget to fyi most people in mexiko earn about $4 usd for a 10-12 hours day! and the cost of living is crazy when they calculate the $4 per day lonely.
I sought this place out and I was not disappointed. This is legit. I wish I could slap the stupid hotel bar food out of your mouth. If you want to try some of the tasty “nasty bits” this is the spot. Excellent tripe! Both...styles. Cash only. Spanish only.... just smile, be nice and point gringo. You’ll be fine. Then go grab a FRESH churro in the park.
Taqueria Gomez In the late 1990's, I frequented Playa del Carmen. It was a hidden gem--an under developed sleepy fishing village with dirt roads and the only things crossing were free range chickens. At sunset, the taqueria carts would line up on Fifth Avenue and...you couldn't resist the aroma as it beckoned you... Today, Playa del Carmen is a cosmopolitan town. Gone are the taco stands, chickens, and dirt roads--all the roads have been paved! Good luck finding a taco stand! Craving this culinary delight, I asked the hotel concierge where one could satiate their desires! He recommended, Taqueria Gomez... The meats are basted then grilled, chopped, served with cilantro and onions... if you're hankering for old time Playa del Carmen, Taqueria Gomez is the place to go...
Go try some tacos. for $100 pesos 6) you can gain 20 lbs in tacos. Perfect spot in the center of town. One con....when it is hot out (350 days a year) this place is like a Swedish sauna!
