La Marea Restaurant - Playa del Carmen

The service is always impeccable and the location with the ambiance of the pool and views of Cozumel makes the restaurant experience 5 star. On a recent visit to the resort we had a private table set up and Chef Carlos made a bespoke dinner for us. He chose all courses and it was all beyond exceptional. Francisco the food and beverage manager strives to make every experience perfect.

Gehobene Küche, leckere Weine, exzellenter Service, wundervolles Ambiente - ich habe dort einen wundervollen Abend verbracht. Tisch muss vorher reserviert werden, an diesem Abend gab es ein besonderes Menü, welches inklusive Getränke (mit wohlschmeckenden mexikanischen Weine) serviert wurde. Das Ambiente des Restaurants mit Blick auf das Meer und die Lichter von Cozumel am Horizont in Kombination mit dem exzellenten Menü ist einfach wunderbar. Sehr zu empfehlen!

There may menus at this restaurant but when you let Roberto and his awesome team do the ordering for you, you can never go wrong - everything is exquisite and amazingly delicious and beautifully plated!! The staff is so involved and the chefs passions come through such that every meal is unforgettable!!!

Title says it all. The ambience, the food and the service at this place are all just excellent. I just can't think of anyplace else I've been that was this completely satisfying. And it is nestled in one of the coolest Viceroy boutique hotels in the world...where the accommodations are spectacular and the attention to service is beyond improvement. You gotta try this place if you haven't already.

The setting is truly stunning- a second floor open air restaurant built in traditional palapa style with designer light fixtures and amazing views overlooking palm trees, the resort pool and the Ocean... The ocean breezes were refreshing. This restaurant changes its menu daily I believe and we enjoyed their Steakhouse night- I love their bar cart that roams the restaurant- very fun... The food was wonderful- the best we enjoyed over the 5 nights we were in Riviera Maya... We had the Filet and grilled shrimp- both done perfectly. Salads were fresh and inventive. This is a great romantic restaurant for couples looking for an outdoor experience..
