Sam Clam's 2 Go - PLANTSVILLE

A couple of weeks ago I placed a takeout order of a seafood platter full bellies and small onion rings and small calamari. I get home and no onion rings. I called and they were aware that they forgot my onion rings. They said we’ll put you name on the board and give a large onion rings for next time. Today was next time so again I placed a takeout order for seafood platter full bellies small calamari and I reminded them of my onion rings. I get home and there were no fries with my seafood platter. I’m pretty sure they just heard I wanted onion rings and substituted them for fries but I was supposed to get them in addition to make up for the last time they forgot to give them to me. I’m kind of disappointed. I didn’t bother calling I’m thinking it may be time to try close by the sea instead of Sam the clam.

Excellent and clean since they have the most recent owner. Whole belly clams and scallops are my favorite but can't beat the scallops so huge perfectly cooked. Clams tend to be small to medium size anywhere...still delicious. Dean I enjoy it very much including the friendly owner and staff.

Food was excellent but we sat outside, the server came over we didn’t get the specials, she brought us the sheet, i then ordered three different items and she said they were out of all of them.. i orderedone then two then three because she kept saying we are out.. hmm ut was friday evening at 6;45?? that, i found very odd then we got food she never came to check on us then we finally flagged her down to order another drink, she took 15 minutes to bring because the “ other table was talking her ear off” well we were not really impressed with her service but the food was amazing!! sge claimed that she works six days a week, doubles!! im sorry then take a break so your not burnt out and give not such good service… when you have good food, good service, thats what really draws you back!! kudos to the chef but running out if turkey, broccoli and mussels in a friday early dinner is just not too good in my eyes…

Great food, awesome staff, good atmosphere, outside deck seating, and cold beer we love this place!!

The apps where good had the lobster stuffed mushrooms an the blackened shrimp a little pricey. The dinner surf an turf the steak was excellent, served lobster on plate which I liked better then cracking shells but was not served with butter or a cocktailsauce
