Bidra med feedbackFirst visit to this location in a converted house in Fox Chapel with really nothing else around it. There was a steady flow of customers into the market on the Friday morning in October of my visit. We probably arrived at 9 o 'clock and the bagels were not finished yet. The alternative I chose of a croissant was a mistake because it didn 't seem fresh nor flavorful. But it was very large in size and the height of the sandwich comprised of a thick layer of goat cheese, egg, mixed greens, and sweet potato bacon made me feel okay about its price tag. Besides made-to-order items they had a little market of grocery, dessert, and beverage items to name a few items in their market.
Awesome!!! Bagels are like nothing I’ve had before. Other items look great with gluten free options. Staff is super friendly. I’m sitting in the parking lot as I write this. Wish I lived near by.
I really want to like this place, but consistently end up disappointed. The baked goods have good flavor but are dry, the chocolate chip cookies are flat and crispy, and I literally paid $6 for a blueberry muffin that crumbled. Le sigh.
We did some breakfast sandwiches twice. We were happiest with brisket and chicken club, the protein+ham+egg was a bit dry.I did gluten free buns, what surprised me was that on two different days they tasted completely differently various providers?Overall very solid breakfast.
The only explanation I have for the high rating this food has is that none of these people have had a good bagel in their life. Seriously. The bakers that made these bagels don't know what a bagel is supposed to taste like (though I'm sure their regular bread is fine). My partner got a bagel with cream cheese- which was crunchy and thin and under-shmeared. I got a sausage/egg/cheese bagel sandwich..the egg seemed like a premade patty you'd get at a fast food place, and it was COLD. The sausage was flavorless. The whole sandwich was flavorless and dry. It was just BAD, and incredibly overpriced for what it was. If you've ever enjoyed a bagel from North Jersey/NYC, be warned- this will not scratch your itch and you will be heartbroken.
