Bidra med feedbackThe cheese purveyor was beautifully erudite; she should own her own restaurant! The frico potatoes were so delicious, the cook is good, although the cheese pairings were not up to snuff, probably due to short time. Owner Brian has a unique unfriendly mien- we were once again presented to him for the 3d he studied lack of recognition or interest. His mercy will be much more at home in NYC (I am from there). The milieu is as great as everywhere - especially with all the other fantastic upheavals and will have no trouble addressing a nicer, equally-competent restoration! I'd consider it an investor.
Too bad they close. The eclectic food was in quality and preparation for place. The cheese pairings with accents were transcendent. Fun to try wine list. Cocktails were surprisingly creative and delicious- well cured. The attitude was very hip- felt like NYC, not Pgh. Loved the comfortable sitting area and couches, as well as the connection to the bookstore. I'm sorry I missed the cheese classes and special events, music and readings. I'm sorry I discovered it too late. I think Pgh will miss it. We needed this place.
The first time there and I'm sorry to see you. The only great place to eat in my neighborhood.
Fabulous Pittsburgh supplement, which unfortunately closed December 23. Best octopus in town....and under the best prep ever.
Pity it’s closed. I really enjoyed the concept. I hope they may consider reopening in a new location sometime.
