Bluebird Kitchen - Pittsburgh

The restaurant offers excellent scones, sandwiches, and salads. Located in a food desert area downtown at the end of Stanwix Street, it boasts a diverse menu.

Their pastrami cured salmon on an everything bagel is my favorite in town, and a great deal at $6-some. Quiches and rotating sandwich of the week are also excellent. Good coffee too (though still waiting on the espresso machine at the Stanwix location)

Fresh, healthy, unique, interesting finds there every day. Never the same meal twice. The staff is friendly accommodating.

This is the more spacious of the two Bluebird locations. Food here is very good but also occasionally overpriced. Your best cost/value order is to get a soup and ask for a biscuit with it (they might be out of biscuits). Day old pastries are also half off and still quite delicious. Sides are wonderful, but keep in mind that they are served cold. Coffee is decent, one of the better options in the downtown area as of the writing of this review.

Great environment and food! The peanut butter bacon gluten free cookie was delicious. They also have Vegan cookies. The salad of the month was creative and healthy.
