Bidra med feedbackMy dining companion and I began our meal with the vegetable pakora before diving into the lamb curry and chicken biryani. The portion sizes were generous, easily serving four people despite there being only two of us. The pakora was a standout for me, perfectly crispy and seasoned. Both the biryani and lamb dish were also scrumptious. We visited the restaurant at 5 pm, making for a peaceful and quiet dining experience due to the lack of crowds.
The chef at this downtown SF location at the Campton Place Hotel comes from a notable Indian food background. Unfortunately, the quality of the cuisine does not seem to carry over to the East Bay location. The food and drinks were mediocre and the overall experience was not remarkable. Prices were reasonable, but overall it was not a standout dining experience.
We began our meal with the sweet pakoras before sharing the lamb curry and chicken biryani. The portion sizes were generous, enough to serve four people although there were just two of us. The pakoras were crispy and flavorful, which was my favorite dish. Both the biryani and lamb curry were also delicious. We dined at 5pm, so the restaurant was not crowded and provided a peaceful dining experience.
The chef comes from a large Indian food inheritance in a downtown-SF location in campton place hotel. it translates into the east bay somehow not meaningful. eating and drinks were only average. not expensive, but no great experience.
