Bidra med feedbackI called to see if they dine in and they said yes the Restaurant is open so I drive all the way from Benicia with my daughter so once we got there The whole place was blocked and the lady who sounded like she was the one who answered the phone was behind the counter and she said that they don't dine in because of covid .... Why you didn't say that on the phone , very frustrated, This place is not professional, do not waiste your time and your money in this restaurant .
I love happy sashimi it's so good !! they have everything i love it i love it ! it was so yummy ! way better then go sushi across the street , they suck , but happy sashimi is so good !! the lion king roll or something like that it was so good !!!
In order, I usually don't place bad reviews, but I have to draw attention to that. eating was not good at all, the sushi did not taste fresh. the fried callifornia roll tasted like teller water and the lion king's whale was not fresh. the only good was the mushrooms maybe and the meatballs were dry. dishes also had chip color. To be honest, I think they need to reconnect the menu, have better dishes and tables. I got sick shortly after leaving the rest of my life because eating really did a number on my own. I will not come back when they improve the whole restruante of eating, food quality, service. we didn't eat the rolls, but we left to some other place. everything needs to be improved for the price customers.
Happy sashimi is unfortunately my least popular Japanese restaurant in the opposite. after covid it was never the same. that eat tastes the same, but still expensive. sad to say that production and customer service has declined. I understand that all their business are different, but sitting places are now very limited, and waiting times for sushi rolls were 1 hour and 30 minutes each time when I tried to eat here. I tried three times in the last weeks. the ladies at the front are super professional and friendly. I wish the restaurant as a whole would improve with these problems. when they are in the area pinole, I suggest go sushi over the street as well as the newly founded, happy ramen and sushi great restaurant, eat and customer service .
Such a shame, I use to be a Happy Sashimi FANATIC! Prior to Covid, they were already going downhill... the pandemic just sent their decline into overdrive. Today I decided to play it safe and order 2 crunchy rolls Togo. They've definitely changed their recipe and technique. The imitation crab is overbearing whereas before they masked it with whatever they put into their recipe to stuff the rolls. The entire roll itself fell apart and was super soggy. There was also a smell that I just couldn't get over and lost my appetite. We are in the Green Light stages of Covid in our area yet they still have their entire restaurant blocked off with tables and large doors prohibiting dining entrance without a mask and proof of vaccination. Restaurants less than a block away or better yet NEXT DOOR from them are thriving by loosening the reigns on these protocols just a smidge. Pricing has also gone up tremendously. I'm not talking a little inflation, I spent 30 on two SHRIMP rolls, not nigiri or anything super fancy. All in all, there are a couple other amazing Japanese options in the area that serve great sushi.
