Bidra med feedbackOur party of 8 arrived without reservation. The dining rooms are warm and welcoming, most of the menu is presented orally, and the house speciality is wood fired grilled pork or chicken which can be seen grilling as you enter. The grilled meats and risotto were delicious, we ordered copious amounts of food and were not disappointed with any of it. Service was perhaps a little slow but the place was full and food came freshly made and tasty. We were on a three week tour of Italy by car and this was one of the best places we ate, and for a very reasonable price. Families are welcomed and there were several small children in other parties who seemed to be regulars.
Delicious but they made is too much waiting Between starter and first course was 1 hour They forgot us
It doesn’t matter how much you eat, it’s €30 per person for the meal and non alcoholic drinks (or maybe not charged because we asked for half sized serves). This is an old style restaurant where there’s no menu; the list is oral. One of the younger waiters spoke good English so there was no translation problems. We had 2 serves of the antipasti for 3 diners. There were 8 seperate plates of wonderful starters. We asked for and was provided another plate of the white asparagus with eggs May is the end of season for this vegetable. My gnocchi dish was brilliant! Each piece was pillow soft, unlike the more chewy versions found elsewhere. The others also enjoyed their first plates. We ordered only a selection of the roasts on offer and enjoyed them. Squeeze in desserts if you can as you’re likely very full by now. This is a highly recommended restaurant.
VERY rustic, they offer a mix of starters which all are 1-2*. If you fancy chicken in curry sauce as a starter then this is a good spot for you.
Everything about this visit was amazing! We were very impressed with the food we had. It was spring, so I had the fresh pasta with young asparagus and green peas. The slow roasted pork was crunchy on the outside and oh so flavorful thanks to the herbs it was nested with over the fire. Normally I don't enjoy eggplant, but this was so buttery in flavor, I really liked it. Definitely get the tiramisu! Thanks Carlo for introducing us to this place!
