Bidra med feedbackAn intense wine lover, I ventured into a wine bar in Saint-Sauveur, without any particular expectations (let's admit it, a bit of city girl prejudice ; . However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their selection of natural wines and their gastronomic offer. The only small problem, beyond their control, was that a young woman entered the restaurant enveloped in a cloud of perfume (really, in 2024? , unfortunately transforming our olfactory experience into an indistinct mixture of water and something extremely sweet like Kim Kardashian. Restaurants and bars should perhaps follow the parade of places which prohibit the wearing of very strong perfume (sports center, yoga, trade and international fairs, industry events for allergy sufferers including me. Born in the 70's, I am allergic to NOTHING but the heavy perfume unfortunately triggers a series of sneezes not to mention the very unpleasant smell. I don't mind keeping my nose for the wine.; Less is more ladies (and guys; and cheers!
Great experience in this restaurant with a local and seasonal menu. I recommend for a dinner for two or in small groups to share the different dishes in order to taste everything! The young owners went to the right school. The dish including a mushroom mousse was excellent. The dessert: sweet, was divine. Attention to the small details that make the difference, e.g. toothpicks in the bathroom. The only downside: the quantity, quality/price ratio on the wine was not attractive. Natural wines are more of a marketing thing. Service: Dine in
Anyone rating this less than 5* is either an authentic and experienced world travelled gourmet critic with amazingly high standards or just a mon oncle or ma tante who cannot distinguish the delicacies and subtleties that Baumier offers from the Quebec pride « roteux poutine Pepsi » that they have been fed as kids and since then ruined their crossbreeding palate. Highly recommended and as exquisite as simple and relaxed. Very inventive cuisine and rare wines that can drive the total price up quickly but truly justified. Warning: not sure they serve cretons but they have beans. What’s not to like.
Well done to the Baumier team. Very nice selection of wine. The menu offered is seasonal and very well executed. My favorite thing is that vegetables are in the spotlight. Full of flavors, we ask for more again and again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
