Bidra med feedbackMy mom and I came from up north to Perkins for breakfast over the weekend, our food and service was amazing! Our server Meera was very friendly and saw us as soon as we sat down and made sure we had coffee at the table before even taking a look at themenu. Definitely will be coming back with family!
I decided to take my parents to this restaurant for the first time, assuming that you can never go wrong with a classic breakfast. However, I was mistaken. Upon entering, the restaurant had a strange, musty odor that gave off an old and stale vibe. Despite not being around for very long, I couldn't pinpoint where the smell was coming from. The coffee I ordered was watery and tasteless, despite receiving a full pot. The hash browns and biscuits tasted like they were straight from a box, raising the question of why they weren't made from scratch. I opted for the grandma's omelette, which came with hash browns and toast and cost $17.00 - quite steep for an omelette in my opinion. I now understand why people prefer other breakfast spots like Cora's or Sunset Grill, which offer a similar or better experience at a lower cost. I apologize for the negative review, Perkins, as I had high expectations. While others may have had a better experience, I have no intention of returning in the future.
Have previously ordered from this restaurant on food delivery apps but then actually went into the establishment and was very pleased! The place is spacious and very clean. The staff is very kind and patient. A great place to go for breakfast and you canalso buy baked goods to go. (The muffins are delicious!
During my trip to Pickering, I was in the mood for breakfast/brunch. I did a fast Google search and found a restaurant that fit the bill. We ordered the Hearty Man and California Benedict. The bacon was perfectly crispy, the smoked sausages and sausage links were delicious, and the pancakes were fluffy. The eggs Benedict was rich with avocado, and the hollandaise sauce was delicious. I will definitely be returning to try more items on their menu.
The food at this restaurant is delicious, the staff is super friendly, and the prices are affordable. It's a great spot for lunch or brunch. However, the Eggs Benedict are not their specialty. I wish they knew how to cook poached eggs properly, as the ones we ordered were overcooked.
