The meals weren't really photogenic It's like the food was plopped on the plates and brought out. My hubby had arroz con pollo y camerones. It had tons of onion, peppers, squash and mushrooms. It wasn't bad he says. I had gone to wash my hands when the server took everyone's order. He said he'd come back. We had to track him down and I ordered shrimp and rice. Everyone got their food, except me. The manager saw this and went in the back to check on my food. Everyone else was done eating. The rice was overcooked and clumped and the shrimp rubbery. Thumbs and we'll keep returning to El Agave when in Pickens. But the way, we went between 2-2:30. It wasn't busy and it should have been better all around.

This place is authentic. I love the decor. Hidden gem in Pickens. The food is always fresh, and their homemade tortilla chips and salsa never disappoint. Very friendly and timely. Very good prices for the amount of food you get! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Very friendly and attentive staff. Delicious food, my favorite is their Pollo Fundido. They always get my orders right, and I’ve never had to wait on my food. Highly recommend. The dining atmosphere is fun and cozy, it puts me in a social mood! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
