Bidra med feedbackWe were on the piazza armenier for a tour through the villa. we stopped for lunch in la coccinella. we were a good group, but they gave us a very good lunch. this is a good stop for lunch!
We came here after driving from palermo, our first day of travel, and we were hungry and tired and stressed and didn't really care how this would be lunch. we were worried about the tourist bus on the parking lot. (parking. directly from the carbahn, this restaurant makes double beautiful what a great surprise! we had a great meal, attentively cared for by an older woman (no English,) we called behind her back la nonna when she was so big mom for us. She always brought us small goodies. my raw and local buffalo mozzarella was exalted; my darling was above the moon for the pasta all sarde. no pizza at lunch.
After a trip to the villa romana we came back late in the afternoon. although the restaurant was left, they have a delicious lunch for us and a very friendly waitress rusted. we also tried her half-freddo, which was great.
We've eaten two nights behind each other. we loved the waiter and that probably had something to do with it. this seems to be a local, family-run, family-friendly restaurant that is not on tourist (which we were). we had delicious rockkete (Arugula)...Salad with bufalo mozzarella, very good pizza, and even the steak was very good. a local experience. not the fantist, but simple and good. my only critique was the pasta with porcini pilz was a small gland. I wouldn't order that if I was back.
We stopped here for lunch after having visited the nearby Villa Romana on a weekday. The personnel was friendly, but we were disappointed to find that no dish of the day was available. Still, we were told that a certain type of pasta and some...gnocchi were fresh made, so we picked those. To us, the gnocchi didn't seem fresh at all, but rather conventional ones. For the pasta we could not tell at all since the pistacchio sauce had tons of cream on it (something we hate, since it covers most of the taste). We took some antipasti and they were good though. Price and service were OK, even though they took away bread right before serving pasta.
