Bidra med feedbackWhat to even say here. Something has to be really bad for me to give it a bad yelp review. First off, my BF and I are very familiar with ceviche. We understand the shrimp are 'raw ' but are 'cooked ' by sitting in lemon or lime juice. But, when we were served raw shrimp that were limp and grey, we knew there was an issue. That is not 'ceviche '. I 'm honestly surprised the health dept hasn 't shut this place down. They were fully raw shrimp. I unfortunately tried to eat one. It was Chewey and gross. We also ordered 2 shrimp cocktails. After 20 min we were told they only had enough for 1 (um, this is a shrimp restaurant, right? . This was at 6pm on a Thursday. We get our one shrimp cocktail. Shrimp were about 1 big. Shrimp were small, tasted blah, and just sitting in tomato juice. We were actually glad there wasn 't a second one coming...but wait! 30 min later a second one shows up. Did they find more shrimp? We 're not sure. Did I mention my BF is Hispanic and was speaking Spanish? The waitress still just had nothing to say. We also somehow ordered something soaked in green sauce. I have no idea what it was, neither of us remembered ordering it (and again the waitress couldn 't explain what it was or why we got it . It was not good. We each had a few bites of the limp shrimp but mainly ate the stale tostada chips with the sauce. They did say they were taking the raw shrimp off our bill, although we still somehow spend close to $75. We never saw a receipt, so I have no idea what we were charged for. And...there 's more! We overheard the table next to us discussing that they only accepted cash. No where is this posted. Not on the door, not on the menu, nowhere. But, we were allowed to Venmo an individual (again communication was an issue to pay our crazy bill for really bad food. Normally I would have questioned the bill more but it was impossible to communicate with anyone in either English or Spanish. By then we just wanted out of there. So, after many years of wanting to try this place. Now I know. And I wish I didn 't.
The restaurant still has the homey and charming environment. Many items have been changed or axed from the menu. The Camarones Bucaneros tasted scorched then doubly covered with mole. I didn't like my dish at all.The Seafood stew was excellent and my sister enjoyed it to the highest!I hate that the Seafood platter is no longer in the menu but there is more to choose from. Maybe I'll return someday.
Is not the same as it was before they don't take credit cards there's barely any people my fajitas were burnt
Love this place! Please bring back el camaron culichi completely covered in white cheese! Miss That!
The food is very good, well seasoned, the service from the staff is great. It would be even better if they had the option of delivery and if they accepted debit card.I recommend and will become a customer.
