Bidra med feedbackFlavorful Food! Amazingly delicious Cambodian food! We started with the student noodles with grilled shrimps. This is the perfect noodle dish during the warm weather in AZ! Then we enjoyed the delicious Cha Kreung Chicken and Lok Lak Beef! Go now before everyone discovers this restaurant. They've applied for a fleet license.
An easy to miss restaurant, but it is one you should take time to stop! I didn't even think about Cambodian cuisine until a friend tried a group of us. None of us were disappointed, but none of us had a traditional Cambodian food to compare it. The restaurant is picturesque and has a cozy feeling with Cambodian art around you. We decided to do the family style of meals so that we can all try a little bit from everyone. We drank the basil seeds and the turkey. I thought it tasted like a bubble gum tea. Very sweet. The egg rolls were delicious and the sauce with which they came was sweet and a little spicy! Baiynchaiv Krepp was a rice flour crepe filled with ground pork, shrimp, onions and sprouts. The dish came with a large amount and a variety of fresh herbs to put on it if you want. Chicken Bai Cha is a chicken roaster. It wasn't as sweet as the traditional roasted rice I was used to. But it was still very delicious! Khmai BBQ-Platter came with a large bowl of rice, 2 chicken wings, 2 cattle kere and grilled beef. It was all very delicious and full of taste! Nothing threw me away, which is why I rated it with 4. But the food was delicious and I would definitely come back!
BIG Hits and Misses. Last time I was here, I had the most amazing meal. Place of beef that was so delicate served with many exotic flavors with fresh crispy salads. My husband also enjoyed the Cambodian Sausage last time. This time the Cambodian Sausage is from the menu. I really came here to try the Amok Fish, who is the National Dish of Cambodia, but they didn't serve today, so I chose the Chicken Creation. Actually, I didn't care. The dark meat chicken was a little dry and chewing. I also didn't care about the sauce because it was more salty than I can take, a little oilier than I like and it also had a gritty texture that was strange for me. I had the Vietnamese version of this plate and liked it. My husband had the Mi Keaw Noodle Soup. It was almost warm, not hot and had made pork dumplings at home, falling apart in it. Hits and Misses, but they are the ONLY Cambodian restaurant in the city.
A great new place in the center of Phoenix. Sekong by Night is a relatively new Cambodia restaurant in the center of Phoenix. There is a tough competition there are several very good Vietnamese and Thai places in the area and Cambodian cuisine, less known than Thai or Vietnamese, both connected. Happy for Diners, Sekong by Night not disappointed. We ate late yesterday. We ordered spring rolls, beef kewers (sort of a Cambodian version of Satay and chicken noodle soup (Cambodian chicken pho). Every dish was excellent. The spring rolls were filled with chicken, shrimp and mint and served with a light fish sauce with diving sauce. It was like eating in a little sky. The soup, served in a large bowl, was meaty with many noodles, served with bean sprouts and mint on the side and again, excellent. The cows were the best of the pile. Served with a diving sauce, a small part of jasmine rice and a small carrot papaya salad. We finished the whole meal with a common desert of fried bananas in tapioca with coconut milk. The whole meal put us back $24, which I considered an excellent price. The average duck is under $10. Portions are the perfect size for a person. A couple can order a common appetizer and two entrees and get out for about $20. I was very impressed by everything that this little hole in the wall (the most prominent turtle says parking behind. The food is excellent, the price is correct and the service friendly.
This place is fantastic! I loved the Cambodian mixed grill (they were out of beef skewers), I actually appreciate a restaurant running out of things because it’s fresh. We also had the mi Chen egg noodle with shrimp and beef 10/10! The lemongrass beef was amazingly prepared and like no other dishes I’ve tasted. I will be a regular here, even the sweetened coffee is to die for! Thank you!!!
