Bidra med feedbackFour of us ordered drinks, and while prices for a glass of wine ranged from $10 to $13, which isn't unusual, it still felt excessive given the overall experience. The salads were drenched in dressing, featuring mushy red lettuce that was unappetizing. We held out hope that the main courses would redeem the meal. However, our waitress took far too long to check on us. When our dinners finally arrived, I ordered a pasta dish that was simply terrible: the portion was far too small, it was over-seasoned, overly spicy, and definitely not enough for any adult. Others at the table felt similarly disappointed—everyone's portions were surprisingly small and unappetizing. To add insult to injury, they ran out of dessert and served us last-minute cotton candy. We've dined at five-star Italian restaurants across the globe—in NYC, Chicago, LA, and abroad—and this was the absolute worst experience we've had. After finishing our meal, I inquired about the owner, only to find the restaurant nearly empty, with just two other tables occupied. He didn't have the courtesy or class to check on his customers or ask for feedback. One of our guests is an editor for a restaurant review magazine, and I can only wonder what kind of write-up they’ll produce—if they even bother to feature this place. The pasta was overcooked and cold—how do you mess up pasta? The ambiance felt like a pretentious LA imitation that ruined authentic Italian dishes with misguided flourishes. It was an outright insult to Italian cuisine. The bill came to around $50 per person—well, make that $60, considering I had to stop by a burger place around the corner afterward, as I left feeling hungry.
